ASSIGNMENTS

Week 1

Tuesday - Began chapter 2 and worked through it and assigned the apple a day exercise at the end of the chapter along with notes added to it that is due before class Thursday.

Thursday - Assign next project in this chapter which was the job on the web on page PPT 140 #5. They are to research 3 companies on the web and research the 7 areas on the list and have at list 5 slides with notes before class on Tuesday.

Monday - Martin Luther King Holiday

Tuesday - Assigned #4 on page PPT140 on ABC's of Fruits and Vegetables. You need to have at least 5 slides with notes and at least one of those slides needs to have the something about the bad side of things kids likes to eat (McDonalds, Burger King). The rest should deal with the good things.

Thursday - Begin next chapter Creating a Presentation on the web using PowerPoint on page PPT 142. Finished chapter and assigned #1 on pages PPT 158.

Tuesday - begin project 3 Using Visuals to Enhance a Slide Show on page PPT 162. Finished the chapter and assigned PPT 217 Dino-mite Dash.

Thursday - Assign other chapter work. PPT 218 - PPT 219 #2 Fruit and Vegetable Nutrition and PPT 220 - PPT 221 #3 Westwood Wolf Exhibit.

February 4th - February 8th, 2008

Tuesday - Assigned #3 on PPT222 with research, answer all the questions for all 4 models and notes on all slides and no printing then do #4 on PPT223 with notes on all slides with no printing.

Thursday - Pick a presentation at the end of the chapter and set it up just like the others you have done in the chapter.

Tuesday - Finish working on presentations that are dur in project 3 chapter.

Thursday - Assign Kids Creative Communication Case Problem Presentation from other book. Need to give complete details on what is needed for the presentation to the group and this will be a test graded project.

Happy Valentine's Day

Tuesday - Begin Project 4 - Modifying Visual Elements and Presentation Formats - PPT 226.

Thursday - Finish Chapter and do P. 296 #1 - Seattle Fish Facts.

Tuesday - Assign other chapter projects.

Thursday - Test Project - U Travel 2 Travel Agency's European Tour PPT 302 - PPT 304 due by the end of class or you receive a zero for the test.

Tuesday - PPT 306 #4 - Energy Bars - You should have a title slide, 5 slides about 5 different energy bars, a slide with a chart comparing the bars, and a closing slide. The presentation should include all items listed in the instructions with notes but do not print them out. Make sure that you have the web sites on at least 3 of the energy bar slides. Good luck.

Thursday - Begin Workgroup Collaboration Using A Review Cycle PPT 307. Assigned PPT 338 - PPT 340 upto #7 because we can not do the broadcast or using the package for CD option. Due by the end of class.

Tuesday - Give out Mid Semester Project to begin working on for Final Project. These should be emailed to me before class next Tuesday.

Thursday - Out - Continue to work on Mid Semester Project to prepare for Final Project. Remember that these need to be emailed to me before class next Tuesday.

Tuesday - Begin Project 5 - Working with Macros and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) on PPT 346 and see how far we can go with it.

Thursday - Begin on PPT400 Adding a Button to Run the Form. Finish Project 5 then - when we finish the chapter we will have some to come up and present their Mid Semester Projects to the class. Work on One end of the chapter projects. PPT 405 due at end of class. HAPPY EASTER.

Friday - Easter Break will begin.

Monday - Friday- Easter Break

Tuesday - Begin Project 6 - Creating a Self-Running Presentation Containing Shapes PPT 418. Assigned PPT 463 Academic Assistance Center that is due before class Thursday. Took up print outs from chapter for lab grade.

Thursday - Assign Television Buying Guide PPT 464 - PPT 465 and Putt Putt Golf Outing PPT 466 - top of PPT 467. Both most have good notes on ALL slides.

Tuesday - Assign Healthy Family Lifestyles PPT 467 - PPT 469 with good notes on ALL slides. If not asked to do so in the instructions add a footnote on the slides with your name.

Thursday - Assigned #1 on PPT470 - The Akita Rescue of Western New York. Must of 7 slides with Notes and be very informative, and convince people to support this organization. Not only put the slide number in the footer of each slide but your name also.

Tuesday - Assign Finals
